Last Monday，my father went abroad for his work and he wouldn’t come back until three days later. Mother and I saw him off at the gate of our community in the morning. We said we loved him and wished him good luck. Then he headed for the airport by taxi.
Afterwards, in order to get prepared for the national exam coming few weeks later, I concentrated on my study and spared no efforts doing homework. However, in the afternoon, I was distracted by the sounds of coughing made by my mom. So I went to mom’s room and only to find that she was lying on the bed weakly. Her face was pale and she began to cough more and more frequently.
I put my hand on her forehead at once and it turned out that she had a serious fever which made her even not able to move her body. I realized I had to take some actions immediately. I soon went to the nearby hospital and bought some medicine. Without any delay, I came back home and cooked noodles for her as supper. Then I helped her get up to take the medicine and have noodles. I stayed with her until midnight and told her everything is gonna be ok.
Fortunately, she felt much better the next day and recovered perfectly when dad came back home. They were proud of what I had done. I believe we are supposed to help and protect our mom because she loves us most.

From this meaningful experience, I gained a sense of accomplishment, and determined to do every little bit to make my parents feel warm and happy.

When it comes to the canteen, we sometimes complain about the queuing time and the taste of food, so please add more windows to reduce the pressure of a large number of people and provide us with as delicious food as possible. Next in line is the library. I suggest that the name requires to be changed into a thought-provoking one attracting us a lot. Besides, please bring in new books regularly and you ‘d better make a survey so as to take what students like into account. As for facilities, I hope that more labs can be put into use, which opens a way to have students practice their ability.

This coming world exposition to be held in Shanghai is definitely exceptional for the reason that it is the very first time that an expo is presented in a developing country. People from all over the world can’t wait to admire the variety of architecture, handicrafts and special designs symbolic of each individual culture.
I have been fortunately enough to be chosen as the tour guide working in Beijing Pavilion, introducing the civilization and well-known architecture including the Palace Museum and the newly built Birds’ Nest, etc. to a big crowd of audience. Thanks to my good command of English, I am capable as a competent interpreter as well as a qualified culture messenger.
